I’m a Philadelphia-based freelance writer covering food, travel, and culture for national and regional outlets. While I’ve written stories about the world’s first cheese conveyor belt in London (for Food & Wine) and Dolly Parton’s best tips for exploring Dollywood (for Condé Nast Traveler), I particularly love highlighting the city where I grew up and now call home. I’ve written about South Philly’s Mexican Pizza for the New York Times and about Perrystead Dairy, the Kensington-based cheesemaker behind the real Philadelphia cream cheese for Food & Wine.
My husband and I moved back to Philadelphia in 2016, and we’re raising three daughters — currently ages five, seven, and 11 — in the city’s Graduate Hospital neighborhood. We spend weekends exploring Philly through bakeries and food markets, new exhibitions at our favorite museums, playgrounds and riverfront trails, pop-up events, and so much more.
